Naomh Mearnog GAA Golf Classic 2010
Our Annual Golf Classic was held on Thursday 1st.July in Malahide Golf Club.
The proceeds from the Classic will go towards the running cost of the club and was won by The Organic Wineo's team led by the Seamus Kiernan with a great score of 93pts. Team Adrian Kavanagh and led by Adrian were runners up with 89 pts.
28 Teams played and 31 Companies sponsored Tee Boxes or donated Prizes.
This was our 12th.Annual Golf Classic and for the second time we opted for a shot gun start which again proved to be a great success.
Malahide Golf course was in great condition , a very tasty bar-b-que at the 10th.and a enjoyable meal was had by all later in the Club House.
A very enjoyable social evening followed with the presentation of prizes,raffle and entertainment by the very talented Jerry Jago.
We would like to thank all those who played,sponsored tee boxes or donated prizes for our monster raffle. Main raffle prize was won by Peter Coyle.
Our thanks also to the organising committee , to Eileen Reale and Eileen Bernard who registered the teams, to Brid Power, Mary Cahill and Marcella Cox who organised the Bar-b-que and to Dominic Cox who photographed the teams throughout the day to make this classic such a great success.
